About Mia
My journey with Spanish began over eight years ago, driven by a fascination with the language’s rhythm, nuance, and cultural richness. I have had the privilege of teaching students from different ages and backgrounds, helping them discover both the technical and expressive sides of Spanish. Teaching has shown me that learning a language is more than memorization — it is about developing confidence, curiosity, and the ability to connect with others across cultures. My teaching approach is immersive, empathetic, and student-centered. I combine structured lessons with interactive exercises such as storytelling, cultural discussions, and conversational practice. I focus on fostering confidence, curiosity, and independence, helping students learn to communicate naturally. Mistakes are framed as growth opportunities, and lessons are adapted to each student’s goals — whether academic, professional, or personal. Outside teaching, I explore Hispanic literature, music, and cultural workshops, ensuring lessons remain vibrant and authentic.
