About Megan
After studying Spanish in high school and majoring in it in college, I reached fluency by living in Latin America, including a year in Colombia and 5 months in Argentina. Since then, I have spent 8 years working in Spanish in the NGO sector in jobs that require regular communication with colleagues from various regional dialects.

My lesson plans are tailored to the specific needs and skill levels of my students, and focus on real-world applications of the Spanish language. For listening practice, for example, I incorporate fill-in-the-blank activities to popular songs, to get the students engaged and familiar with the type of Spanish they're likely already hearing on a regular basis. My strength lies in having learned Spanish within multiple contexts (having lives/spent time in Colombia, Argentina, Peru, and Spain) and thus being adept at contextualized approaches to language learning.
