About Mariapaz
I’m Maria Paz Acosta, originally from Bogotá, Colombia. I’m a lawyer with over seven years of experience in government and consulting, and I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Rice University in Houston, TX. My passion for teaching comes from years of communicating complex ideas across cultures and languages. I believe language learning should be both useful and enjoyable, and I love helping students connect Spanish to their personal and professional goals. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new cities, photography, solving puzzles, and diving into topics like sustainability, law, and international business. I bring patience, professionalism, and cultural insight to every lesson.
