About Aven
I hold a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature with a Francophone focus and have over 5 years of teaching experience. I work primarily with complete beginners who want to learn French for enjoyment and creativity. My lessons are full of laughter, patience, and colourful examples. I bring French to life through hobbies like painting, knitting, and gardening. Using project-based learning, I connect grammar and vocabulary to real interests. Visual aids and storytelling make even tricky topics feel simple. I want my students to feel at ease from the first “Bonjour.” Each class builds confidence through play and practice. I’m always delighted to see students talk about their passions in French for the first time. Learning doesn’t need to be formal—it can be joyful and personal. My methodology is focused on using French in practical health and wellness scenarios. Students learn to describe symptoms, communicate with doctors, and ask questions at a pharmacy. We also explore vocabulary for discussing exercise, nutrition, and healthy habits. Lessons are interactive, hands-on, and tailored to each student’s needs. I work with Travellers and Academic/Linguist learners to build spontaneous communication skills. Role-play, dialogues, and real-life examples help students gain fluency quickly. Vocabulary and grammar are always taught in context for better retention. I emphasise clarity, confidence, and real-life usage. You’ll learn to express yourself naturally and accurately. My lessons are fun, relevant, and practical. Students leave with skills they can immediately apply. I encourage curiosity, exploration, and self-expression. Together, we’ll make French a useful tool for your personal health and everyday life.
