About Karen
As a head of English I have wide range of experience. My targets/ students grades have also excelled the national targets.
As a literacy co-ordinator I worked to support not only students but also staff in the College to help them understand how to teach literacy within their vocational subjects.

Hello I'm Karen. I have taught English in schools and colleges for over ten years. Teaching at GCSE, A level and ESOL/IELTS. I build teaching resources for teaching sites that correspond to the curriculum and examination process. I was also the literacy co-ordinator for a college.
I structure my lessons so they introduce new skills, build on them and give the student practice in order that they remember and relate to new information. I assess a student so I can strengthen their knowledge using up to date resources linked intrinsically with National Objectives.
I am patient, friendly and enjoy meeting new students. Helping students pass their exams is what makes me enjoy my job as a tutor.
