About Tarun
Hi, I'm Tarun, a qualified secondary school Maths teacher with experience teaching students across KS3 and GCSE.
I currently work in a specialist SEND school, which has given me extensive experience supporting students with different learning needs, confidence levels and approaches to Maths.
I specialise in working with students who are currently achieving around Grades 2–3 and want to secure that important Grade 4 or above at GCSE.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy keeping fit and staying active. I believe the same principles that help with fitness — consistency, practice and not giving up when something feels difficult — can also make a huge difference when learning Maths.

I get it — Maths might not be your favourite subject.
You might not enjoy Maths, you might find it difficult, or you might simply need that Grade 4 to get into college, an apprenticeship or the career you want. And that's completely fine.
For some students, succeeding in GCSE Maths isn't about understanding every topic in enormous depth. It's about recognising the type of question in front of you, remembering the right method and knowing how to apply it.
That's where I can help. I'll teach you simple methods, patterns and memory techniques to help you remember what to do when you see particular questions. We'll practise these methods repeatedly until they become familiar and you can use them confidently in an exam.
My lessons are supportive and tailored to you. We'll identify the topics where you can gain the most marks and focus our time where it will make the biggest difference.
The goal is simple: build your confidence, pick up more marks and get you closer to that Grade 4 and beyond.
