About Laiba
I’m a gap year student with an A in both GCSE and A-Level Maths, and experience mentoring A-Level students. Having recently gone through these exams myself, I understand both the content and the common challenges students face. My teaching approach is focused on building confidence through understanding and practice. I break down tricky concepts into clear, manageable steps, and guide students through plenty of exam-style questions so that learning becomes practical and results-driven. I strongly believe that mastering Maths comes from a mix of clear explanations and consistent practice — and that’s exactly what I focus on in my lessons. I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling topics they previously found difficult. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but also to develop a deeper understanding of Maths so that they feel confident in exams and beyond. Whether you’re preparing for GCSE or A-Level Maths, I tailor my sessions to your individual needs, making sure every student leaves feeling more confident, capable, and ready to succeed.

My Approach to Tutoring For me, maths is all about learning the method and then practising until it sticks. I eat up exam questions — and I encourage my students to do the same. Once you’ve understood a topic, the best way to build confidence is to practise, practise, practise. In lessons, we’ll break down tricky concepts step by step, then tackle exam-style questions together so you feel prepared for the real thing. Lesson Structure A typical lesson is 60 minutes (although this is flexible based on student needs): starting with a short recap of the topic, then diving straight into examples and practice questions. By the end, you’ll walk away with both understanding and exam-ready strategies. About Me I’m a gap year student with an A in both GCSE and A-Level Maths, and experience mentoring A-Level students. I know what it feels like to sit those exams, and I’ll help you approach them with clarity and confidence.
