About PARAS
Hi! I’m Paras — a Computer Science Engineer with a 9.0 CGPA and a full-time Software Engineer at JP Morgan in London. I have a strong academic background in Maths and STEM, and I’ve spent the last several years solving complex technical problems using logic, clear reasoning, and structured thinking—all of which naturally translate into effective Maths teaching. Throughout my engineering degree and professional journey, Maths has always been one of my strongest foundations. My work in AI, programming, and problem-solving relies heavily on mathematical thinking, and I enjoy using this experience to help students understand Maths in a simple, intuitive way. I’m patient, friendly, and genuinely passionate about helping students overcome their fear of Maths. Whether a student is struggling with basics or aiming for top grades, I break concepts down into easy steps and make sure they truly understand what they’re learning. Outside of tutoring and work, I enjoy building tech projects, exploring AI, and continuously learning new things—which also helps me bring fresh, real-world relevance into my lessons. My lessons are designed to make Maths clear, simple, and confidence-boosting for every student. I focus on building strong fundamentals first, then gradually move to exam-style problem solving so students not only understand how to answer a question, but why the method works. As a Computer Science engineer (B.Tech, 9.0 CGPA) and full-stack developer at JP Morgan, I use logical, structured and real-world approaches to explain Maths concepts in a way students actually enjoy. I specialise in helping students who feel “maths isn’t for them” by breaking down topics into easy steps and using patterns, visuals, and intuitive reasoning. How My Lessons Work • Assessment in the first session: I identify strengths, gaps, and the student’s learning style. • Concept clarity first: I simplify difficult ideas using examples, analogies, and step-by-step methods. • Practice-based learning: Each lesson includes guided questions + exam-style problems. • Personalised study plan: Tailored weekly goals based on the student’s pace. • Exam & test preparation: Focus on speed, accuracy, and problem-solving strategies. • Progress tracking: Regular feedback for both students and parents.
