About Dishita
My name is Dishita! I am a student at Duke University, where I plan to study global health and computer science. In senior year of highschool, I was admitted to Columbia University, Duke University, Johns Hopkins, and Georgetown. I was also named a U.S. Presidential Scholar and National Merit Scholar. I hold myself to the utmost academic standard and I maintain that standard for my tutees as well. I am strong in math, english, science, and social studies---so I am sure I will be able to help you with anything you need. I have taken up to Calculus 3, Organic Chemistry I, and was in 300-level English and Social Studies courses as a dual-enrollment college student in highschool. I am always open to feedback and adaptibility! Just let me know what works for you, and I will find a way to make it happen.

I am flexible to adjust to whatever learning style works best for you! I will take your feedback and constantly adjust/improve. Before we begin, we will set goals and a timeline. We will figure out what aids work best for you: practice problems, videos, reading, and we will work things out together. I will assign a bit of practice and homework after each lesson that we will go over at the beginning of the next lesson.
A typical lesson plan might look like this:
Introduction (10 minutes): Review previous homework and set objectives for the current lesson.
Main Instruction (15 minutes): Introduce new concepts through a bit of lecture, visual aids, and examples.
Practice and Application (30 minutes): Engage the student in exercises or activities to reinforce learning. Provide guidance and feedback as they work through problems.
Review and Conclusion (5 minutes): Summarize key takeaways from the lesson and address any lingering questions or concerns.
My lessons are for anyone in K-12 schooling. I can also do SAT/ACT prep as well as college essay help/mentoring. I was admitted to Columbia and Duke so I feel prepared to support students on their college application journey, or their academic journey in general.
