About Tamara
Hello! My name is Tamara Evans. I go to Elon University, where I am a disciplinary writing consultant. My major is in Political Science ( Pre-Law), with a minor concentration in African-African American studies, Social Injustice and Poverty studies, and Criminal Justice Studies. I have been tutoring other students for over three years! I typically love helping my students with their writing assignments, specializing in argumentative and creative writing. However, I also like students with mathematics (mainly specializing in algebra, geometry, and Pre-cal!) I’m a jack of all trades, so whatever you need help on, I’m willing to work with you! I typically like to create specialized study plans for my recurring students to master the material and be able to apply it to their learning!

I am an outstanding English tutor because I am able to help my students at any point in their writing process! I have extensive knowledge in proper grammar and citation rules, therefore I'm able to help spot out any grammatical errors in my students papers. At my University I'm a disciplinary writing consultant, which means that I work with students extensive writing classes on their essays.
One thing I've come to learn about my tutoring pupils, is that they all learn differently! I love coming up with comprehensive study plans for my students. I
My major has allowed me to take extensive history classes, especially American history classes. I have taken AP American History, American Contemporary History, World History, American Politics, and International Politics. I am a complete history nerd!
