About Shivom
Hi! My name is Shivom, and I am currently a student on a gap year. Given I have finished my A Level examinations recently, the idea of how to get through exams is fresh in my mind and I know what each student requires for their academic success. Every student has so much potential, and my role is to bring out that potential through inspiration and finding their incentive. I enjoy tutoring because not only do I interact with students who want to excel in their education, but it enables me to provide personal support that helped me during exams. I have experience of tutoring, where I worked with a local large company as a tutoring assistant and provided 1:1 support to students. My role will not only be of a tutor, but will also be of a personal mentor and of a friend :)

A Level RS was definitely the A Level subject I struggled with the most, due to it being very demanding - due to its immense content, hard examination processes and difficult content. I went from a C in my last mocks to an A* in the real thing, achieving the highest mark in my cohort. How? This is what my tutoring sessions will consist of. A typical lesson will be 1-2 hours long, and will consist of content mastery, exam practice mastery and active recall through answering questions and engaging in activities such as debates. You will also have access to my notes and exam scripts which consist of A* essays. I specialise in the OCR spec and the religion I will teach will be Buddhism, but I am happy to teach philosophy and ethics only :) OCR RS A Level may seem like the hardest thing ever, but with my lessons you will feel so much more confident and will be ready to smash those exams when they come!
