About Ian
I have been playing many different contemporary styles of both acoustic and electric guitar for 7 years. I play piano and sing as well however I doubt I’m at all qualified to teach those areas. Music is one of the biggest parts of my life and my goal is to help others make music a part of their life as well.

My approach to teaching guitar after a student has some of the fundamentals under their belt, I help them learn songs that they personally enjoy, and allow them to decide what they want to learn and where they want to take their abilities. I feel like this is necessary as it makes music something fun that you look forward to, as opposed to a repetitive chore that must be gotten over with. My overall goal with students is to get them to a point where they can teach themselves any song they hear, more importantly give them whatever skills they specifically want to learn.
