About Samuel
As part of my IB CAS programme, I worked as a teaching assistant in a classroom for once a week for a year. In addition I have previously helped to found the tutoring club at my school, and attended sessions in order to help IGCSE and secondary students achieve the best from their end of year examinations. I have often supported my peers, attending study and revision clubs and supporting my friends in English, Maths and the sciences. Most recently, I tutored a student in English language IGCSE working to improve their coursework and the quality of their written work, culminating in them rising from grade B to A*.

I am a high achieving academic student, with the maximum grades for IGCSE and IB in Physics, as well as certificates of merit from Edexcel for my skills in English Language and Literature. I am patient and sensitive to the needs of each student. I know that it is important for a student to be confident in their knowledge if they are to be successful. I will use a variety of methods including online activities, worked examples and calm thoughtful explanations to build the basics and develop a foundation for further learning. I will always relate learning to the appropriate syllabus and examiners guide. I will set weekly homework tasks, sometimes online, to keep my students engaged between lessons.
