I offer bespoke teaching and cater my teaching style around the student’s needs, with experience tutoring a variety of ages, I understand that each learner is unique and learns best via different methods.
I like to tailor my teaching style based on how an individual responds to different methods as no single approach works for everybody. Often I find that the difficulty with explaining science is not that the concepts are hard but putting it into simple language has often been missed by teachers and so I look to identify clear ways of getting the fundamental ideas across with an everyday analogy.
Find out the level my student is at and understand where there strengths and weaknesses lie. This may be done through looking at a question or asking the student what they already know about the topic we're covering in that session. Then slowly work through the topic or question ensuring the student understands why each step is taken not just what each step is.
I aim to quickly gain a feeling for my student's current abilities and difficulties: which topics do they find difficult or problematic? From there, by use of problems and examples, I gradually expand the student's comfort zone, explaining useful techniques with which to deal with the problems in question.
My teaching method is to understand what works best for the student to learn the skills needed to succeed. The fundamental aim of the lessons is to not just teach the students the content, but to engage them in lateral thinking where the knowledge then becomes second nature and can be used in future careers.
I believe that the best way to teach is to be able to explain complex concepts at first in as simple a way possible. This means that I can teach individuals of any ability and any age. As a tutor, I am very fun and I like to make the maths I tutor very interesting as I feel that this has been the key to my maths achievements.
My teaching method involves gauging the area of the topic the student struggles with and focusing on that while working through a lot of example questions step by step, allowing the student to take the lead and explain their thought process while working through the question.
Generally my lessons plan work towards and alongside the school curriculum that the child is doing. It completely depends on what the Childs weakness and strength are. I change mathematical methods depending on what the child prefers and am happy to show different ways of doing things that they perhaps won't have been taught at school.
Friendly and approachable tutor willing to help anyone. Just finished my first year at Durham University after getting an A* in Maths A-Level. I'll tutor you in whatever way suits you best whether that's test prep, homework help, or learning completely new topics.
Previously privately tutored students Maths, French, physics and Product design. I’m young and therefore understand the possible struggles you’re going through and have, and can help you easily. My previous student were GCSE level. I try and work with you instead of setting you a task and making you work for me.
I adapt to each student's unique learning needs - whether they be visual, auditory, or practical. It is important to find out how each individual student thinks and learns instead of applying a cookie cutter model. I also prioritise engaging the student's enthusiasm for the subject (which may have been dampened in a classroom environment).
The world is ruled by mathematical and physical rules and get to know them means to understand a bit better where we live in.
I'm currently doing a bachelors degree in Physics and I am able to help primary and secondary school students with maths and physics. In the first lesson with a new student, we will go through a variety of questions to establish which areas you need help with. After this I will develop lesson plans to specifically help you with those topics.
Hello! My name is Madeline Baker and I am a 23 year old friendly tutor with experience of secondary tutoring for mathematics, physics and chemistry. I have a Masters degree in Earth Sciences from University College London, received A's for both maths and further maths at A Level and 13 GCSE's A*-A, including maths, english and triple science.
I've been tutoring for almost three years, and have taught young people between 11 and 18. My tutoring experience has largely been exam focused - working towards 13+ entry to senior school, GCSEs and A-Levels.
I am a high achieving academic student, with the maximum grades for IGCSE and IB in Physics, as well as certificates of merit from Edexcel for my skills in English Language and Literature. I am patient and sensitive to the needs of each student. I know that it is important for a student to be confident in their knowledge if they are to be successful.
- Classes We provide professional English, maths and science tuition. Pupils receive 1:1 tuition, and undertake practice drills and independent work during 1hr 20min sessions. All children are given a free initial assessment. If you decide to take up the tuition sessions, an individual learning programme is designed based on the outcomes of the assessment and the needs of the child.
I am a Physics student and a sailing instructor. I would be delighted to help young minds develop, especially in the sciences. My method is flexible since different people learn in different ways. A typical lesson would include taking a topic, breaking it up into smaller parts, teaching the understanding to a higher level (e.

I have no set method of teaching as I realise all pupils are unique and as such have differing needs and must be challenged in different ways. We will discuss what works best for you as an individual and using the information you provide we will create a learning environment which suits you.
I have a natural talent for numeracy, and systems thinking. I have been an IT and engineering professional for the past 12 years. I enjoy teaching aspiring students and helping them cultivate and recognise their own innate gifts. I pride myself in being able to listen, truly listen, before setting those that I tutor on a path of self discovery.
