About Nahum
I am a self-taught musician with more than 10 years of experience. Born on Curacao in a musical family and moved to the Netherlands has given me many musical influences. I started playing the bass guitar and then joined the club as a guitar player. Later I also learned the piano to broaden my knowledge. All these different angles have given me a unique and fundamental perspective which is also visible in the way I teach.
I am just starting to teach privately and want to share my knowledge with the curious minds.

I think it is important to connect well with the student. By properly understanding what the wishes of the student are, I can get to work with relevant musical topics that will enrich curiosity and not extinguish it. As a self-taught musician I had to learn to play creatively. Learn different genres of music; rock, reggae, gospel, all the way to latin music. Depending on how far the student is, certain musical concepts are tackled structurally. My style is very creative and broad with interactive ways of practicing that are not boring but stick on for good. Difficult concepts are broken down and explained very simply in a "no nonsense" fashion way so that the person has a good basis and is able to grow further and develop.
