About Bill
Hello, my name is Bill and I'm a final year student studying Maths and Economics at the London School of Economics. I'm happy to teach Maths and Economics up to IB and A-level and I would love to help students improve both their understanding and performance. I achieved 43/45 (top 1% globally) in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and have 3 years of tutoring experience teaching mainly GCSE/IB/A-level material. As someone who has recently been through secondary education, I understand which areas people tend to struggle with and how to avoid common mistakes. I have passed CFA Level 1 and interned at Barclays so in addition to teaching theory, I can show students how it is applied in practice. I believe Maths should be straightforward when taught with a focus on intuition and understanding. Due to its abstract nature, the theory should be introduced with various metaphors, diagrams and examples. These are all elements which I aim to include in my teaching so students learn not only how to "do" Maths, but also how to think mathematically.
