About Sol
I am a Film and Creative Writing undergraduate student at the University of Birmingham, with a keen interest in performance, collaboration, music, comedy and other creative arts. I'm involved with the running of the university's Open Mic society and was recently working with the Flatpack Film Festival. I've always been a committed student, achieving 10 Grade 9s at GCSE and an A* A and B at A Level, and I continue to have a broad curiosity about a range of topics. I am a warm and encouraging teacher and able to tune in to students' individual learning approaches.

I focus on past papers and exam questions in preparation for mocks and exams, detailing the expectations of mark schemes and the best ways to structure answers for the best grades. I am also able to impart effective study techniques and revision plans. I am a big believer in meeting students where they are and creating a calm, confidence-building atmosphere to help them get where they need to be. The typical length of a lesson is 45-60 minutes.
