About Bethany
I am a second year English and French student at the University of St Andrews, in Scotland. As part of my degree, I am currently preparing to move to Paris for my year abroad. Throughout school and university, I have studied a broad range of both French and English literature I am also an avid reader in my spare time. I have a particular interest in essay writing and so I would be more than happy to help with critical analysis, close-reading and stucturing essays. If you are looking for some extra help in French or English, or are considering them as future degrees, I am friendly, approachable and ready to teach!

The most important thing about any lesson is for the student to feel that they have learned something new or honed one of their existing skills. I therefore begin by asking the student to tell me something that they find difficult or wish to work on. Then I will find specific examples, based on the identified area, and we can work through problems and questions together. I am very much a visual learner myself so I tend to find things like symbols and flash cards very useful but I am open to all forms of learning.
