About Prashant
I have a strong interest in musical theory and analysis, and in helping others understand the technical structures that underpin effective musical performance. I am passionate about teaching how rhythm, form, texture, and musical systems work together, encouraging students to think critically about music and develop analytical skills that support confident and informed musicianship.
Alongside this, I have over 12 years of experience studying and performing on the tabla. Through extensive practical training, I have developed a deep understanding of technique, rhythmic cycles, and expressive control. This long-term engagement with the instrument has shaped my appreciation for disciplined practice and has inspired me to guide others in developing strong practical skills, precision, and musical confidence through hands-on learning.

I like to teach one on one in person (Or online if must), being able to collaborate with students with all key areas of their musical journey whether it be theory or practical, helping enhance and improve analytical and aural skills. Lessons can range from 1-2 hours and for theory is best suited for senior hsc or preliminary students. For practical tabla lessons, all ages are acceptable. Teach from home or office. I have experience tutoring other academic subjects for the past year.
