About Ivy
With over seven years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, I specialize in preparing high school students for IB and A-Level Mathematics. My teaching style blends conceptual clarity with exam-focused practice. I firmly believe that understanding the “why” behind each method is just as important as knowing the “how.” In my sessions, I introduce multiple approaches to solving problems so students can develop flexibility and confidence. I place a strong emphasis on past paper practice, giving students the tools to approach their exams with calm and strategy. My expertise lies in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, and I enjoy helping students connect these topics to one another. I believe that maths should feel like an adventure, not a chore. My methodology focuses on nurturing curiosity and developing strong understanding. I teach Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics with clarity, while also weaving in logic puzzles and game theory to keep lessons fresh and engaging. Recreational mathematics plays a big role in my sessions, reminding students that maths is full of creativity and surprises. I use playful exploration to help students tackle challenges without fear. Parents are included as partners, so they can support progress at home with confidence.
