About Graydie
Hi! I’m Graydie, and I’d love to help your child build confidence in math and English.
I’m currently studying to become a teacher and work as an assistant teacher, where I also have the opportunity to take classes and support students in their learning. I work in a school that focuses on helping children who are behind in math and English, so I understand that every student learns at their own pace and deserves teaching that meets them where they’re at.
I’m known for being patient, gentle, encouraging, and having a good sense of humor. My goal is to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning without fear of being judged. I want every child to leave a lesson feeling accepted, proud of themselves, and a little more confident than when they arrived.
I also believe that less is often more when it comes to learning. Rather than rushing through lots of new content, I like to introduce concepts gradually while spending most of the lesson reinforcing and practicing skills. This helps students build strong foundations and makes learning feel achievable instead of overwhelming.
When I’m not at school or studying, you’ll usually find me around horses or spending time with my little dog. I’m passionate about helping children realize that they’re capable of success, and I love seeing that moment when something finally clicks.

My approach to private tutoring is centered around creating a supportive, engaging, and personalized environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Rather than focusing solely on memorization, I aim to help students develop a genuine understanding of concepts and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Whether they need help catching up, staying on track, or extending themselves, I’m committed to providing patient, encouraging, and effective support every step of the way.
