About Thomas
I'm Thomas, and recently was a student like you! I love to engage with young people and find the ways they really learn. Everybody's different and I understand that there can be many different ways of approaching difficult questions. I hope to work through questions with you and find the best way of learning how to answer them for you.
I also benefitted from online tutoring for my Maths GCSE and I hope to bring similar success in school to you too.

I've had lots of experience of academic tutoring, giving lessons to students from my local area online, during the pandemic. I also have assisted teaching and after-school clubs at two schools around Westminster. From these experiences I have learned how to effectively communicate with and teach children.
I have achieved academic success at 13+, attending Westminster School. There, I went on to gain 11 9s/A*s at GCSE and 4 A*s at Pre-U/A-Level. I have since begun studying Undergraduate English at UCL.
My lessons cover the range of the 11+ and 13+ Syllabus and would ideally be an hour long. I think consistency is key, so would advise 2 separate lessons a week to maximise attainment. Before beginning lessons, I would begin with an introductory call with both parent and student to highlight key areas of weakness at the moment, as well as speaking privately with the student about what they would like to see improvements on. I can then plan and personalise a lesson structure to propose, and we can go from there!
