About Chrissy
I have always had a flair for the dramatics -according to my father- and as soon as I was able to walk, I would dance, sing, and re-enact my favourite musicals and movies. My first performance was in a dance show at only 3 years old. As much as I'd like to say that I looked like a child prodigy, I spent the duration of the show watching the lights change colours and following them around the stage. Whatever the reason was, whether it was the lights or the actual dancing, I was hooked. Since that day, I have continued to dance and perform 2 shows annually. At the tender age of 7 I began volunteering as a dance teaching assistant and by the age of 11 I was helping in around 10 different classes all with various styles. At 16 I was given classes to teach on my own which were competition teams. During one of the first competitions my students attended with my choreography, they won many awards for their duets, solos, group dances and even overall best dancers in multiple categories. I was very proud of them as I know I can teach them a good dance, but to make it great they must enjoy what they are doing and want to win, that is something I can't give them but of course try to encourage.

I have worked with children from ages three to eighteen with a variety of additional support needs, which has enabled me to develop problem-solving skills as well as the ability to interact with a variety of people in different situations. This exposure to so many different ways of living integrally shaped my passionate outlook on equality and is the reason I approach life with a non-prejudice outlook.
