About Elsie

I am currently a jazz student studying at Leeds Conservatoire, a music school, where I am developing and growing as a musician technically, but also gaining the confidence and experience from regular performing required to prepare me for continuing to build my career once I leave university. I have always had a passion for teaching, specifically teaching music, and have taught basic singing skills to young children and more mature adults. My musical background includes being classically trained in classical singing & musical theatre for 8/9 years, with frequent pop singing lessons. For the past 2 years, I have been studying jazz music and honing in on my jazz vocals technique.

About the lesson

Teaching students the techniques and skills required to be a confident, successful singer, at whatever pace is most comfortable for each individual. My lessons will cover everything from diaphragmatic breathing practice, to vocal technique, to basic music-reading skills, to self-accompaniment (basic piano / chord skills), to songwriting.
