About Maddie

My name is Madison, and I am a middle school–trained teacher who has shifted my focus to working with younger students who need extra support in reading and writing. I have a strong background in education and have worked with students across a variety of ages, which has given me the flexibility to meet children where they are and help them grow with confidence. I am especially passionate about early literacy. I enjoy making reading fun and interactive by using hands-on tools like magnetic tiles, decodable books, and story cards. I believe that every child can succeed as a reader and writer when lessons are personalized, engaging, and supportive. When I am not tutoring, I love reading, creating, and spending time with my family. I bring patience, creativity, and a positive attitude to every lesson so your child feels encouraged and motivated to keep learning.

Why Choose Me as Your Child’s Tutor?

I specialize in helping early readers build strong foundations in phonics, reading comprehension, and writing skills. With my background in teaching and training, I bring both structure and creativity to every session. I do not just teach letters and sounds. I connect them to real reading and writing experiences so children feel confident and excited to learn.

Here is what makes my tutoring unique:
• Personalized lessons: I design each session around your child’s strengths, needs, and school curriculum (aligned to TEKS).
• Hands-on learning: I use magnetic tiles, decodable texts, and story-building cards to make reading and writing interactive and fun.
• Balanced approach: I focus on phonics for decoding, sight words for fluency, and comprehension and writing for long-term success.
• Progress tracking: Every 3 to 4 sessions, I do a formative check so you will see clear, measurable growth.
• Encouragement and confidence: I celebrate small wins so your child feels proud of their progress, not pressured.

I believe every child deserves to feel like a capable reader and writer, and I am here to make that journey enjoyable and effective.
