About Maja

Hi everyone! My name is Maja (Maia). I am an experienced British English teacher & actor / stand up comedian based near London, UK.

I have been helping students just like YOU achieve their language goals for over 9 years. I have a CELTA from the University of Cambridge and a BA Degree in English. I'm here to help YOU get MORE CONFIDENT, speak fluently and feel more relaxed in English. No more stress, just communicate in English like a native.

I am also an actor & you might recognise me from the Fantastic Beasts movie franchise where I played CARROW.

When I was a kid, I could only speak ONE language... now I can speak FIVE! You can too! I can help you become **MORE CONFIDENT** AND MORE FLUENT IN ENGLISH no matter how difficult it seems!

I LOVE grammar so I will make sure it is clear to you and you feel confident speaking English!

Most importantly, I will make sure our classes are FUN!

About the lesson

In our classes, your needs come first.
Whether it is speaking, listening, grammar, or business English, I adapt each lesson just FOR YOU + provide customised homework if you like.

I can also help you with SPEAKING English in PUBLIC - I am an experienced actor used to performing in front of other people. But here’s the best part: I believe learning should be FUN!

My goal is to create a positive and relaxing atmosphere where you can thrive & feel comfortable. I now speak 5 languages, but was born in a monolingual house.. if I can do it, SO CAN YOU!

In my 'other life', I am an actor, stand-up comedian and a jazz singer, which means you can expect our classes to be lively and enjoyable! I am also an avid traveller exploring the world whenever I can.

And I LOVE tea. I’m excited to help you improve your English skills, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Let’s embark on this fun journey together and HELP YOU GET CONFIDENT IN ENGLISH!

I offer:

* General English classes

* Vocabulary / grammar development classes - I love grammar and I can make it fun! Yes, grammar can be fun

* Classes specifically dedicated to learning and mastering idioms such as 'not my cup of tea' or 'see eye to you'

* Classes specifically dedicated to phrasal verbs (use and application in context) - I know, phrasal verbs seem tough but they are actually amazing

* Conversation classes - about anything and everything!

** Important note: I am AUTISTIC / on the autistic spectrum - so please do not be upset if I cannot look at you all the time or cannot keep eye contact all the time :) - thank you **
