Since I was younger, English class had always been my most intimidating subject. Writing essays, reading & grammar was always a challenge for me. I began a college English class right out of high school and was incredibly intimidated! As the weeks went by, I began to fall behind. Essays began to pile up and assignments were getting increasingly harder for me to keep up with. I was on the brink of giving up. Until I began to be tutored by Gabriella. She took the time to understand my areas of strength, and weaknesses. She created a safe space for me to ask all the many questions I had and was never once impatient. Gabriella was always on time for our appointments, well prepared, and had an action plan every time we met up. I never left a tutoring session feeling discouraged or confused; but rather, I always left feeling encouraged and with clarity on how to complete my assignments. She even took the time to look through my future assignments, understand my class syllabus, and course description. Not only did she teach me what I needed to know for each current assignment, but she taught me material I would need to know for future assignments as well. By the end of my course, I ended with an A+, but most importantly, felt like I mastered the content and learned the material. Overall, Gabriella was a remarkable tutor and I would highly recommend her to anyone!!!
