About Tanya
I have served in the educational sphere for over a decade, most recently as a high school literature teacher focusing on the classics. I also teach contemporary novels and research practices. I have two children - one in middle school and the other in elementary, a husband who is also an educator, as well as a dog, twin cats, and a school of fish. I believe that education can change our lives, and I would be honored to help demystify aspects of literature, research, and writing for others.

I initially approach my instruction by getting to know the scholar that I will be working with. Once we have established a baseline report of what their interests and challenges are, I work with students one on one to demonstrate close reading techniques, thesis development, literary criticism, research and external sources, literature comprehension and surveys, and so much more.
