About Maryam
I am currently preparing for my GCSEs where I will be taking all three sciences, maths, English language and literature, Spanish, history and computer science - for which I am predicted a grade 9 (A*) in every subject. I have tutored many students in the past all of which have taken on my guidance and this has helped them significantly at the start of secondary school which without the right preparation can be a very overwhelming experience. I have lots of experience in preparing for the 11+ exams and I know all the tips and tricks to pass with flying colours!

My initial approach to tutoring is to adjust to the student’s method of learning. Whether they are a visual or tactile learner, I will ensure my methods will allow them to learn the material in a way they will be able to be able to understand, enjoy and remember. Additionally, I like to go through the student's classwork and homework to understand what needs working on and to see previous feedback from their teachers so that we can work on improving on those points and then advancing even further. It is crucial to allow the students the opportunity to see mistakes and imperfection as part of the process. The key is to go above and beyond so that they are completely ready for the next stage of their education!
