About Katie
I’m Katie, a friendly and dedicated tutor with strong experience supporting Year 11 students in mathematics. I’ve helped learners boost their confidence and improve their exam performance through clear explanations, structured sessions, and a patient, approachable teaching style.
Alongside tutoring, I bring a strong academic background in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, and I’m currently studying Chemistry, Biological and Medicinal Chemistry at the University of York. My work experience at the Francis Crick Institute and Pfizer has strengthened my analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail - all of which I bring into my teaching.
I’m resilient under pressure, highly organised, and committed to helping students achieve their best

I have two years of experience tutoring Year 11 students in mathematics, helping them strengthen core skills, improve exam technique, and build genuine confidence in the subject. My sessions are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs - whether that’s revisiting fundamentals, tackling tricky exam questions, or developing problem-solving strategies.
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and approachable. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, creating a calm learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I’m highly organised, resilient under pressure, and committed to helping every student progress at their own pace.

Katie helps you go other topics you struggle with until you know the ins and outs of the topic. I went from a 3 in maths to a 5 in just 2 months I highly recommend
Katie was an amazing tutor who explained things to me in a much easier way than most teachers ever could. She takes things slowly and was a fun person to be around which made learning not feel like a chore.Seriously amazing tutor!
Katie tutored me last year every Friday out of her own time, she has a great work ethic and really made the effort with me to make the knowledge stick.i couldn’t recommend anyone more to tutor - shes phenomenal and im so proud of her
