About Dr Christian
I am Dr Christian, a qualified Swim England swimming teacher (SEQ1&2) with a specialisation and extensive experience with water anxieties and aquaphobias.
I have a unique water entry methodology based on several decades spent in water, the sea mostly.
I teach all four strokes, ie breaststroke, crawl, backstroke and butterfly for all levels.
I am also a certified sports practitioner for breathing and neuropsychiatric conditions (CPDs).
I have a lifetime experience with nearly all water sports, snorkelling in particular. I can prepare you for snorkelling which is my lifelong passion, or simply your beach holiday with the do's and dont's.

I can remove your anxiety or even fear of water so that you may learn to swim calmly, confidently, and at your own pace.
Whether you’ve had a bad experience, feel anxious even thinking about deep water, or have avoided swimming your whole life, I’m here to help you change that — with no pressure, and no judgment.
With years of experience with water and water sports, I understand the emotional and physical challenges involved. My lessons are gentle, non-judgmental, and completely tailored to you — focusing on trust, relaxation, and small, manageable steps toward your goals.
You don’t need to be a swimmer to begin. All you need is the willingness to try — and I’ll be right there with you, every step of the way.
The lesson is delivered one-to-one in a small private pool in Willesden, London NW6 but if you have your own pool I can travel if it is within my reach.
Lessons are one hour so as to proceed gently. The first half-hour of the first hour lesson is free .
It start with a simple conversation to prepare you for a gentle water entry.
I will be in the water with you if this makes you more comfortable.
Lessons are progressive and lead to be able to be completely comfortable and safe in the water - preparing for learning to swim.
Private swimming lessons to Swim England or other standards are then possible on a one to one basis only.

Please note that it is best to contact me a few days before your lesson to ensure the widest range of booking options for the pool.
I have a full recent DBS - which I can show on demand - and can hence work with children of all ages.
Please also note that although I have had so far only one student on Superprof, I have many elsewhere on a daily basis.

Perfect! Wow! I have never ecperienced a lesson like this before!! Tailored towards my strengths and confidence, within the first 15 minutes my fears were gone and i was completely focused on the lesson. Christian's style is revolutionary, super fast and designed around you, the student, not like other instructors who put you in a box of "Beginner" . I am so excited for my next lesson at the same time i want to keep christian a secret so he is availble for me!!!

Lessons are one hour, at £100 per hour, per hour on a 1 to 1 basis
The first half of an hour of the first one hour lesson is free but you must book a full hour on that first lesson.
Please note that I do not do half-hour lessons, only one hour lessons.
