About Andrew
I’ve been playing piano since the age of 9, classically trained before moving into live performance with bands and eventually a professional career as a composer and sound designer. Today, my work spans the film and advertising industry including projects for the BBC, Sky TV, and award-winning short films. Alongside my professional work, teaching has always been a passion. I have taught the people closest to me and have worked with students of all ages and abilities, focusing on building strong musical foundations while encouraging creativity and self-expression. I see music as individualistic expression, not the rigidity of notes on a page. My approach is centred on supporting each student discover and develop their own musical identity and playability. Whether you’re learning your first notes or refining your personal style, my goal is to nurture you and help you flourish into a confident, expressive player.

My teaching focuses on supporting students develop playability, musical identity, and fulfilment. Whether we’re working on technique, improvisation, repertoire, or expression, my aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel inspired to explore, grow, and flourish as confident, expressive musicians.
