Super Tutor

Gerry is one of our best Esol tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Gerry

After 14 years of teaching students from China, Brazil, Tahiti, South Korea, Russia, Argentina, Japan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, India, Spain, Turkey, Chile, and Armenia, I have learned quite a lot about different learning styles, and I keep this in mind when teaching my students. I am a patient teacher, a good listener, and I enjoy sharing a joke with my students and learning about their lives while sharing about my life in New Zealand. I expect my students to make an effort to complete homework tasks I set as I put considerable planning and thought into each lesson. I can even help you with your understanding of Kiwi English!

About the lesson

We can focus on the individual topics or a combination - Speaking - Reading - Listening - Writing as well as Grammar (which is so much fun!) and Vocabulary. I can teach you skills to improve your results in all areas. One-hour lessons are best - we will focus on what you need and I will share my resources and show great websites for you to practice with.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Gerry.

Perfect! Gerry is one of the most approachable people I've ever met. In the past half year, thanks to his lessons and help, my writing level has improved rapidly and I have learned a lot of writing skills. In class, Gerry's language is rigorous and humorous, so it can always catch a person's attention. I would recommend Gerry to my classmates and friends who are taking IELTS in the future. Thanks again to Gerry for his service.

I believe Gerry is one of my favourite teachers in my life. He used to teach me IELTs for a while. We had a wonderful time in the class.

I loved the way he helps me improve my Listening.

As we all know people from different countries have cultural differences.

He loves help class understand each other well. He also taught us how to get along better with others. I still welcome to join his family parties since I graduated from his class.

Please feel free to contact him.

Gerry is a great teacher. I have had the pleasure of working with Gerry for couple years in the past, He is a driven, organized teacher who develops inspiring relationships with his students.
Gerry has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages, especially young students. His ability to connect with students and his talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior. He also has excellent written and verbal communication skills with both parents and other teachers. A plus, Gerry is a very funny, easy going and extremely friendly guy in social life, you are more welcome to come to his place for dinner or lunch, and chill.
