About Maël
Although i'm still 15 years old, I have already taught multiple aspiring songwriters how to write good chord progressions and catchy melodies outside of the tutoring industry.
Despite my young age, I still have a background in music theory. I started composing at the age of 9 and i've been studying theory since. I also play in a band, and I am planning on joining the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra soon.
I have experience in both teaching, composition, and songwriting. I have an open scheduele, so booking lessons with me should be fairly easy, and with the first lesson free, we can get started right now.
I'm looking forward to teaching and sharing my passion with you all!

If you are an aspiring songwriter or producer and you don't know where to start, then look no further.
I mainly teach song structure, melody composition, and sampling. For first timers, I have lessons planned out to guide you through how to compose, sample, or how to structure a song.
I only teach beginner level, or people who are entirely starting out in the course. Note that if you take my class twice, I will move up to the level you need to learn. Here are a couple things you might want to know about my lessons:
- I am versatile with many DAWs including Logic pro, FL studio, and Ableton. If you own none of those, I will guide you through a lesson in bandlab, a free music software that you can access from your browser.
- As a native speaker of three languages, I can teach in English, French, and Japanese. I will proceed with whichever language you are most comfortable being taught.
- I love getting to know my tutee's, so don't be afraid to tell me about yourself, and what you are looking to specifically learn.
- I have an open scheduele so booking lessons with me will be fairly easy.
