About Cheryl
I have been a practising artist for many years and gained a BA (Hons) FIRST Class in Visual Arts. I have cultivated my teaching skills over the past 14 years. Teaching in many creative areas including Animation and Film, Drawing and Graffiti, Arts and Crafts. I have found working with different mediums has enabled me to explore textures and style that has strengthened my understanding of value and form when applying it to teaching methods and my own illustrations. I thoroughly enjoy teaching in my favourite subject and I use teaching methods in drawing as accessible as possible for each learner.

The lessons offered are varied. From Fine line portrait drawing to 3D anamorphic designs. The taster sessions allow you to try out and explore which practice of drawing you would like to develop. They will take you through one, two and three point perspective drawing and how this can be used to develop portrait/character and 3D/anamorphic styles of working. 1-2-1 tutoring basis to advance your techniques and skills in your preferred area enables the tutor to focus directly on your requirements. These sessions are ideal for beginners to any of these forms and techniques or experienced artists wanting to explore a different medium to their current practice.

I highly recommend Cheryl. Great teacher, explains everything well and is friendly and down to earth.
I really enjoyed my lessons with her and it was fun learning about the different aspects of art.
Cheryl has worked for me at a local secondary school teaching drawing to Year 8 children. She is a friendly, creative and professional educator. Her drawing lessons have also had a positive influence on the pupils' 3D sculptures. Cheryl is well- prepared, punctual and highly skilled. I would recommend her highly.

£20 based on 1-2-1 (excl. travel)** Lessons are booked on a minimum of 2 hours as is required for learner to gain adequate teaching and gain the best from the session. As opposed to some subjects, drawing takes up more time. Block booking discounts will require advanced deposit payment and bookings within a 7 day period. **(travel costs may not apply, depending on distance of travel)
