About Jodi
I am currently a high school dean of academics and instructional coach. Simply put, I teach teachers to be better teachers. I held the role of master teacher, previously, and assisted new teachers with classroom management, and instructional strategies. As a classroom teacher, I created lessons that appealed to and engaged all my students by offering assignment and project choices tailored to various learning styles, interests, and readiness levels. I maintained productive professional relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community to assure success for my students. I have the utmost respect for the teaching profession and the educational institution as a whole.

Welcome prospective students and parents! Here is a little about me. I have been a 6-12 grade English Language Arts and social studies teacher for 23 years. I have taught in rural and urban districts, high schools and middle schools, and public and charter schools. I have experience teaching English Language Learners successfully and I have had extensive training in SIOP and TESOL strategies. I have tutored in the past and I am familiar with the MME requirements, the Michigan Common Core Curriculum, and the Michigan State Standards. I have provided standardized test preparation instruction, and have overseen credit recovery programs. I enjoy teaching and learning and I enjoy helping young people achieve at higher levels. I am excited to help you along your educational journey and to have a positive impact on you and your future endeavors!
