English

A keyboard player, or keyboardist, is a musician who plays keyboard instruments like synthesizers, organs, and digital pianos, often performing in bands or studios to add layers of sound, bass lines, and atmospheric effects to a song. While a pianist focuses on the classical or jazz piano, the term keyboard player is broader, encompassing a wider range of electronic instruments and performance styles. Keyboard players can perform various functions, from chordal accompaniment to running synthetic arpeggios and triggering sampled sounds.
