About Hojoong
As a K–5 tutor and teacher with five years of experience based in New Westminster, BC, Canada, I am committed to supporting young learners during some of the most important years of their academic journey.
Working with students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 has allowed me to understand how foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and communication shape a child’s confidence and long-term success. I strive to create lessons that are clear, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, meeting each student where they are and helping them grow step by step.
I approach my work with integrity, decency, and dignity. Integrity means being honest, prepared, and consistent in every lesson. Decency means treating every child and family with respect and kindness. Dignity means recognizing that every student deserves to feel valued, capable, and heard.
My goal as a tutor is not only academic improvement, but also building confidence, resilience, and a love for learning that lasts beyond the classroom.
