About Casper
Hi! I'm Casper. I love teaching, learning, music and science. I am a passionate and qualified teacher with 2 years of experience. I am a second year Psychology Under-Graduate student at Macquarie University. I use formulated approaches to helping students achieve and exceed their goals, and try and make students appreciate this process along the way. I find tutoring to be a great job for me, and I really enjoy helping students grow.

I generally break my lessons into three, thirty to forty minute sections -initially we go through the provided material and address any key misunderstandings in the subject area that need to be addressed. After this, I like to spend 40 minutes doing assisted practice - where I like to watch the student complete a number of questions, write an essay, or complete a practice test with my direct assistance if needed. Finally, the final section usually consists of breaking down the details of their new body of work, a grading, a discussion of where they struggled in my eyes and theirs, and how they can improve. I then assign homework. I have used this setup for many lessons, and find that it consistently increases students grade. I am friendly, personable and try to understand a students genuine interests, and use them to bridge an understanding. I I enjoy tutoring all students, but am proficient in years 7-12.
