Saying a method for teaching/ helping Special needs is tricky. my lesson plan would be laid back but still on topic similar to me as a person. I would give lessons to anyone who wants them be they a Health and social care student or some one who is looking for help understanding how their Autism is affecting them or likewise a family member for instance, lessons would go in to much detail as the pupil (that is you by the way) would like, some from books and studies other from experiences. Hard to say what my methodology is for certain but at a guess i would say allowing you the pupil to understand special needs in a way you want would be it.
I am new to the tutor role, i have been studying in Health and social care for 5 years and have been around people with special needs most of my life. I am very keen help how ever i can and to pass on my knowledge. i have been around the block a fair few times seen many different people with many different conditions and special needs all different from the last.

Learning about different special needs and conditions
I graduated in November 2018 with a level 5 diploma in Health and Social care Management, while studying for this course I was the student representative for my year for two years. At the moment I am progressing with NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning, to further my experience in education, I also have experience working in the Health and Social care sector in a voluntary capacity as well as from work placements in schools during my education.
During my time at my comprehensive school I was a librarian and worked most break times from year 9 to the end of year 11.
I have been a volunteer helper at Comic Con Bristol for the past 4 years. This entails helping with setting up, team leading as well as overseeing the event and has put me in direct contact with the general public.
I have also worked in a voluntary capacity in Abu Dhabi. My role there was helping new employees through the long and somewhat confusing Visa registration process.
The practical experience I have accumulated over the years, has been from working within Primary schools as well as Charities, specifically working with people of various abilities and ages a role that I have very much enjoyed, however I have more of a preference for working with children and the disabled due to challenge it gives as well as the reward. As I have said I have an interest in working with people with conditions as well as working with children, this is why I want to work in education. My plan is to work a school as a TA or LSA first then after a length of time decide if I want to progress to a teacher once achieving a PGCE, further down the line I might decide to progress from a Primary school to Secondary school teaching role.
Working within the Health and Social care sector, in particular as a social worker would be a path I would explore if teaching did not pan out. It would still allow me to work with children as well as young people of various abilities, and also gain new experience
I have a keen interest in psychology and this is an avenue I would like to explore at some point in the future. I fully intend to complete my education and work towards my degree in Health and Social care via the open university.
I have a good knowledge of the Health and Social care sector
I am keen to learn new skills
I am a very caring person with an approachable manner
I am patient and sensitive
I have a great deal of respect for the people I am in contact with
I am tactful
I stay calm under pressure
I am dedicated
