About Melissa
I am jobless because of the current pandemic and have reflected upon going back to my teaching days and tutor English in literature, in reading and in writing. I can be a clown, a magistrate, a kid, a lost woman and a mentor.

Firstly, it is engaging with the student, his expectations, his weaknesses and strengths with the language and listening to him intently as he speaks to get a grip of what he needs off hand. Secondly, then the planning begins with pronunciation for 20 minutes, reading a short paragraph for 5 minutes or more, bringing out the grammar portion from that paragraph 20 minutes, two exercises on the grammar point and then a 5 to 10 minute conversation about writing a short report on a particular topic of interest.
As a tutor I would be more likely to listen then tute (so to speak). For teaching English as a Second Language the class would be about three to four adult persons. For Reading a one to one tutoring of a 7 year old would be the target age group.
