About Deborah
Pacing is the most important element of our time together because I prefer to let students dictate the speed. Truthfully, I sometimes forget how long we have been playing once we lock into a groove.
My approach is grounded in the formal methods I gained during my BMus Vocal Performance degree, which translates perfectly to understanding music theory for guitarists. Whether you are a kid learning your first chord or an intermediate learner polishing a solo, I ensure the feedback is immediate and clear. We work on your specific bottlenecks.
I keep the environment focussed. You will see progress quickly. It is simply a matter of consistency. I like to keep the energy moving.

You have likely struggled with inconsistent rhythm or poor fingerpicking technique. I have spent 13 years refining my ability to break down complex electric technique for a diverse range of people. Having guided 481 students, I understand exactly where most players hit a wall.
Reading sheet music becomes much easier once we strip away the intimidation factor. I focus on rhythm guitar and efficient practice habits. It is just about getting the work done.
