About Dana
Hi! My name is Dana and I am a student in the Columbia University–Sciences Po Dual BA programme. I have always been passionate about languages and different cultures. I have lived in England for 12 years now but before this in Croatia and America. Originally, I am Croatian-Brazilian, and in addition to these languages I speak Spanish and some French. This is to say, I understand and love languages. Teaching English is a passion, at all levels. I had to learn English myself and the journey inspired me to get a TEFL certificate and teach others. I am passionate about and enjoy seeing students build confidence and achieve goals that felt out of reach. Both beginners and fluent English speakers.

I tailor every lesson to each student’s goals, whether you want to improve conversation, pronunciation, grammar, academic English or prepare for exams or interviews. I learnt English myself before moving to England 12 years ago, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language. With over 3 years of TEFL teaching experience, I know how to build confidence and help students make real progress. My lessons are taught primarily in English because I believe immersion is the most effective way to develop fluency, while always adapting to your level so you feel challenged but never overwhelmed. I can also support fluent English speakers with schoolwork, including pre-GCSE, GCSE and A Level English, as well as university applications, CVs, personal statements and interview preparation.
