About Zeek

I am very passionate about this sport, and I am keen to make people enjoy it and improve.

Tennis is a beautiful sport, but sometimes can be frustrating not to know the reason why things are not working the way we would expect.

Currently competing in box leagues at my home club, this makes my tennis better, as I am able to play with different kind of players and game styles.

I am a bit of a tennisnerd and had the chance to study about how to modify rackets, for example adding weight to certain places on a frame. Tested a few rackets for personal use and for others, I managed to get a customized frame that helps their game.

Stringwise, I like to test out new strings every 2–3 months, considering this as an advantage when it comes to help people to get the right string and tension for them. I would be more than happy to recommend you your better string set up.

Tennis became part of my life, and I am sure anyone can pick up a racket and feel that energy, that good workout that makes you feel happy getting back home full of dopamine.

Currently, I am not offering my 1st free lesson.

  • 1) What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

I have been playing rackets sports most of my life, if I am right, from about 9 years old. It was always the highlight of my day when I knew I was getting close to play again, and ever since still my best moment of the day.
  • 2) What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

Pretty obvious, my favourite is tennis at a club level.
I also enjoy gym and running consider this as hobby but more like a lifestyle, this help me be fit on court and be able to play more stable and for longer periods of time.
I would be really interested to try out Surf, never had the chance, so probably will be my yearly goal to give it a go.
  • 3) What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?

Passion would be the big one for me, the feeling when I am on court is just awesome. Quality time outside. Being the best me.
Also, when I am back home, dopamine hits after a shower and your body feels really relaxed as tennis is a great workout.
  • 4) Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?

Recently I join a Manchester tennis league within players from the area. I played 3 rounds, got 3rd in 2 and 2nd on 1 of the rounds. This really push my tennis to the limit as the level was well in matches. I am more than happy with the result and also getting stronger and smarter when I am on court.
  • 5) How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?

For me having no goals is not a choice, I need to have something to look forward to otherwise I get bored. Having the chance to improve in tennis as technical as it is, it was, and it still a great way to improve on everything, specially when focusing on something and go to the end line.
Gave me self-recognition and a positive aptitude to carry on the next step.
  • 6) If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

It is a hard choice as I like different players, but if you ask me today, I would probably have a hit with Casper Rudd. Such a nice guy outside court, fair play and great fighter.
I would like to ask him about mental tennis. This is a topic that I have been interested for a few years as most of your best game is from the mental side, would be great to know how pros deal with this part of their game.
  • 7) How do you help people stay motivated?

I love having a challenge and to my students I try my best to make sure they are always challenged, so they can stay up for the next lesson.
Having a big smile on court will always help my lessons, relieves tension and get everyone at ease.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in sports?

When you love what you do it does not look as it is a job and, for me, this is when people can see your passion and can also be attracted to the sport by seeing how great is the sport.
I made my own methods based on research with specifying the needs of the players and this really helped them to be more involved as they can see the results after a few lessons.
