About Victor
Hi, I’m Victor, a certified tennis coach based in Bermondsey.
Tennis has been a big part of my life from an early age. I started playing at 5 in Brazil, competed at national level there, and later played college tennis in the US. Having trained and competed in different environments, I now bring that experience into lessons that are practical, focused, and adapted to each player.
I coach juniors and adults of all levels, from total beginners to advanced players. Whether you want to learn the game properly, improve your technique, feel more confident in rallies, or become smarter in matches, I can help you build your game step by step.
My approach is straightforward and easy to follow. I know tennis can be technical, but I believe it should be taught in a clear and simple way. I focus on the details that matter most, so you can improve without feeling overwhelmed.
A lot of my students want more than just feeding balls for an hour, they want to understand their game, feel more confident, and actually see progress. That’s exactly what I try to bring to each session: clear coaching, honest feedback, and a relaxed atmosphere where improvement feels natural.

No two players are the same, so I don’t teach every lesson the same way.
Some students want to build solid fundamentals from the start. Others want help with consistency, serve, footwork, tactics, or simply feeling more confident during rallies and matches. The first step is always to understand where you are now and what will help you improve the most.
Most lessons include a warm-up, focused technical work, and then live drills or point play to bring everything into real tennis situations. The goal is not just to hit balls for an hour, but to leave the session with a clearer understanding of your game and what to do next.
My approach is practical and easy to follow. I keep things simple, give clear feedback, and make sure each session has a purpose. That way, you can improve without feeling overloaded or confused.
I coach juniors and adults of all levels, from complete beginners to more advanced players. So whether you’re learning the game from scratch, returning after a break, or trying to become more solid in matches, lessons will be adapted to your level and goals.
Court hire is not included. If we’re playing in the Bermondsey area, I can usually arrange the court and add the fee to the lesson total.
I’m also flexible with scheduling, so you don’t need to commit to weekly lessons unless you want to. I can travel up to around 3km from Bermondsey as well, with a small travel fee in some cases depending on the location.

Perfect! If you’re looking for a coach who is as patient as they are knowledgeable, Victor is the one. The lessons are very well-structured, high-energy, and tailored specifically to my goals. I’ve seen a massive improvement and my overall enjoyment of the sport. A total pro and a pleasure to learn from!
- Very good session, Annie is picking up the basic of tennis, like grip, follow-up, termination, legs position. Brilliant.Victor's response :

The lessons have been great so far. He’s very encouraging, explains technique well, and adjusts the class to my level. It never feels rushed or boring.
Great tennis coach. Super patient, easy to talk to, and really good at breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense. Lessons are always productive and enjoyable.
I’ve been really enjoying my tennis lessons. He explains things clearly, keeps the sessions fun, and always knows exactly what I need to work on. I can definitely feel my game improving.
Great coach and teacher. Explains technique in a simple way, keeps sessions engaging, and gives useful takeaways to work on between lessons.
Would absolutely book again!!I’ve had a couple of sessions with Victor and they were brilliant. I found Victor great because he actively looks for the small details in your form that can make a difference (rather than holding back tips, which I’ve heard other coaches do). He is also flexible with his approach and is happy to discuss what kind of teaching methods work for you (eg focus on drills, rally time or a balance). I’m quite happy to follow his lead based on what he thinks will make me better, but I appreciate that he takes notes of what students want out of the experience.
I’ve already seen a noticeable difference in my game and will be continuing my tennis journey with Victor for the foreseeable future. Would definitely recommend!Victor is an amazing coach. He is patient and professional. I would 100 percent recommend him.
Patient, encouraging, and very good at explaining fundamentals in a way that actually sticks. He fixed my grip and contact point within the first couple of lessons, and I’m already rallying with much more confidence.

Details
My rate is £50 per hour.
Court hire is not included in the lesson price. If we’re playing in the Bermondsey area, I’m happy to help with the booking, but the court fee needs to be paid in advance when the court is reserved. For reference, a typical court fee in the area is around £10.40 per hour.
If a lesson is cancelled less than 48 hours before the start time, the court fee already paid cannot be refunded. If the cancellation is made more than 48 hours in advance, the court fee will be refunded.
I can also travel within around 2 miles / 3km of Bermondsey. Travel is usually £10 for locations within around 1 mile / 2km, and £15 for locations within around 2 miles / 3km.
