About Ashley

Hello future students! My name is Ashley and I am a graduate of Simon Fraser University with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Counselling and Human Development. I am an English Second Language (ESL) teacher and also currently teach Psychology. I believe that having knowledge of Psychology is useful for everything we do - in school, work, and life in general. Also, many of the students want to learn English for their language skills for their careers and to create more opportunities for themselves. My purpose as your teacher is to help you become confident and achieve your learning goals.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology consists of individualizing my lessons where I will focus on your needs and interests.

For ESL, the lessons include...
- grammar and vocabulary
- writing, reading, speaking, listening
- topics that interest you
- real life examples

All of my students come from different backgrounds and ages. I love teaching youth and adults in particular. I use my background in psychology to understand your motives for learning the English language while making sure you are confident even if it is challenging. I will make sure you succeed at the end of my lessons :)
