About Rosa
I am a Caribbean mixed-media textile artist and environmental scientist. Originally from the island of Barbados, textile and fashion design have always been my passion. I moved to Canada in 2017 and later completed my Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Textile Design.
As an artist, my work speaks to the vision that there is unity in diversity. I integrate this into my work by combining vibrant colours, expressive textures, sustainable practices, traditional techniques and contemporary practices. I am currently now an educator and avid facilitator to budding artists and makers within Toronto.

Perfect! Rosa has been a fantastic sewing instructor for our three 14-year-olds. She is always punctual, well-prepared, and clearly very knowledgeable. What really stands out is how well she connects with the girls. She is patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping them improve and feel confident in what they create.
