About Richard
Richard Burmood is a Fine Art Major from the Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach California!
He worked his way through college working and eventually managing fine art galleries in Laguna Beach, CA
After Moving to Colorado in the late 90's, he opened his own gallery in Boulder Colorado on the Pearl Street Mall! After 9/11
The art market was tough and so Richard reluctantly closed the gallery and reinvented himself as a fine art and collectible appraiser. He currently owns Masterpiece Appraisals and is an art and collectible dealer!

THE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF BEING AN ARTIST
Artist(art’ist)n. 1.one who is skilled in any of the fine arts 2. one who does anything very well 3. a professional in any of the fine arts.
They love and hate almost simultaneously. Their egos are never very well balanced. They are in touch with suffering, beauty and intellect better than most. They almost always give more than they consume. My advice is that if you want a smooth existence stay clear of the art world. But if you really want to feel what it is like to live your full potential get engaged with the arts and you will never become bored just thoroughly exhausted.
