About Gary
Hello, welcome to my bio. I am a PhD student, soon to be finished. My undergraduate degree in history included modules covering the middle ages, early modern and modern history. My undergraduate thesis was on twentieth century Ireland. I have a Masters degree from UCL, in Dutch sixteenth and seventeenth century history, including an Art and language component. My PhD covers the seventeenth and eighteenth century and includes elements involving national, European and colonial history. However, I have also studied and given a paper on ancient and classical history. I have worked with students in a number of roles. Including giving lectures and working as a support worker for students with special educational needs at City of Bristol college. In respects to communication both written and oral, I have published an article as well as book reviews, so I would consider myself relatively strong when it comes to expressing myself on the screen or the page. In respects to oral or verbal communication, I have given presentations and papers on my PhD and other historical subjects as well as running occasional student seminars and lectures. I am patient and attentive . While being flexible to the needs of the student .
