Do you ever wonder why textbooks sound nothing like the people you meet on the street in Mexico City? I grew up speaking Spanish and have spent 13 years singing and playing music in that vibrant tradition here in Australia.
Having taught many students over 13 years, I realize that language lives in the rhythm of the culture.
